Program Overview

Become a leader in the nursing profession with the online MSN degree program at Concordia University Texas. Our program was designed to meet the professional development needs of baccalaureate-degree nurses who wish to further their education. The degree is comprised of 30 to 34 credit hours (33 to 37 for Master of Science in Nursing Education) of graduate nursing courses. The nursing credits alone may be completed in as little as 4 semesters.

Three separate tracks are available for focus including: nursing informatics, nursing leadership and nursing education. The Concordia Distinctive includes programming intended to enhance each nurse’s leadership, knowledge and skill in a Christian environment. The online degree is designed as a transformational learning experience leading to personal and professional knowledge and skill development.

Additionally, our MSN degree is delivered entirely online and is possible to complete from anywhere in the world. Face-to-face options are built into the program for those students desiring more engagement, and to enhance peer collaboration. Aspects of the practicum work include but are not limited to participation in mission work, a community service assignment, and implementing a change project in the student’s work environment.

Benefits of the program include:

  • Focused curriculum: The in-depth courses of study includes core principles of pathophysiology, pharmacology, nursing research, and health informatics.
  • A trusted education: Since 1926, we have provided students with a valuable degree that is rooted in the liberal arts.
  • Convenience: Our online program allows you to balance your degree program with your work schedule and personal commitments. Fulfill your practicum hours at your own place of employment, and earn your degree at a pace that works for you.
  • Year-round support: Our online help desk is available 24/7/365.
